Bring your bike, scooter, wagon, stroller, or other non-motorized wheels and get creative with decorations before the parade. We’ll have supplies on hand to help you deck out your ride and get parade-ready!
Kick back and enjoy the festival at the Beer Garden, featuring craft beer from Rockport Brewing Company! Grab a cold drink, catch up with friends, and enjoy the live music and atmosphere of Old Home Days. Rockport Brewing is an independent, family-owned craft brewery based in Rockport, Massachusetts.
Get ready for some friendly competition at the Old Home Days Cornhole Tournament, presented by Edward Jones! Registration begins at 6:30 PM, with the tournament starting at 7:00 PM. In response to community feedback, this year’s tournament has a new rule: each team must have at least one Merrimac resident. Grab a partner, bring your best toss, and compete for bragging rights!
Enjoy live music from Fluxus as they take the Old Home Days stage! Grab some food, stop by the Beer Garden, and settle in for a great night of live music with friends and neighbors.
End your Friday night at Old Home Days with a family favorite under the stars! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, get comfortable on the field, and enjoy a special outdoor showing of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on the big screen. A perfect way to wind down the first night of the festival!

Decorate your wheels and join a favorite Old Home Days tradition! Bikes, scooters, wagons, strollers, and other non-motorized wheels are welcome. Lineup begins at 9:00 AM at the Merrimac Light Department, with the parade departing for the festival field at 9:30 AM. Please note: e-bikes and all motorized vehicles are prohibited per the Merrimac Police Department. This rule will be strictly enforced.

Step up to the plate for some Wiffle Ball fun at Old Home Days! Thanks to Merrimac Baseball, kids can get in the game and enjoy some friendly competition on the field. Come swing for the fences and join in on a classic summertime favorite!
See a police K-9 team in action with a special demonstration from the Amesbury Police Department! Learn more about the important work police K-9s perform and watch firsthand as the team demonstrates some of the skills and training used on the job.
Come cheer on some familiar faces as local celebrities go head-to-head in the Old Home Days Celebrity Pie Eating Contest! But there’s a twist — the crowd gets a say in how messy things get. Support your favorite contestant and help determine just how much pie they’ll have to conquer. Come ready to cheer, laugh, and help raise some money for Old Home Days!

Travel through 150 years of style with our Dress Your Decade contest! Choose any decade from 1876 to 2026 and come to Old Home Days dressed in a look inspired by that era — whether you go Victorian, Roaring ’20s, fabulous ’50s, groovy ’70s, totally ’80s, Y2K, or anything in between. Go all out or keep it simple, and participate on your own or get your friends and family to dress as a group! We’ll select some of our favorite looks as finalists, bring them in front of the crowd Saturday night, and let crowd applause help crown the winners.

Grab your light-up wristband and become part of the show as Abandon Ship! plays on and the festival grounds come alive with a spectacular light show.
